About the Am I Mad website
The Am I Mad website was produced to promote mental health awareness and to provide information for people who want specific information about mental health. They may be coming into contact with mental health services for the first time or they may be existing clients who are still trying to navigate their way around, specifically in East Kent (Dover, Thanet, Canterbury, Swale, Ashford, Deal and Shepway).
Aims and Objectives
The website will be managed by the NHS Eastern & Coastal Kent Primary Care Trust and aims to be more user friendly to people looking for specific information about Mental Health.
The site gives information about mental health issues and terminology and gives details of local services, including: adult mental health teams, children adolescent services, employment mental health, adult day services and user carer groups across East Kent.
There are small video clips of different types of day services and user & carer forums and also provides a space for groups to post up events and activities. There will be links to other websites and resources for more detailed information about specific areas of mental health.
